To be honest haven’t bent any metal yet but assembling the brake I could tell it was well thought out. So I’m sure it will be an amazing piece of equipment

Works great ! I just wish I ordered the measuring tools, would have saved time making repetitive cuts but other then that I am impressed with how smooth everything works im glad I ordered one

I have been bending on a hand brake for over 25 yrs and can honestly say this new brake is a significant improvement from both Tapco and van mark
Not only does it save time and physical effort , it also allows you to make tighter bends and with the 24 “ throw lets you achieve some pcs that were unable to do on the other brands
Back and front gauges are designed well and are a must have to get full potential out if the unit in my opinion
2 way cutter wheel is nice as well as the coil holder and guillotine cutter
I’ve had this for about 8 mths and have run at least 50 000 ft of cladding with it with no issues
I did end up dropping the 2 way cutter wheel and breaking a pc and with a quick call to the company Alex was quick to respond to the issue and sent out a replacement pc at no charge ( even though it was not the tools issue )
So customer service is excellent!
Price point is impressive and comparative to other brands
Al and all I strongly recommend this unit whether your just learning or a seasoned bender , you will appreciate this brake design !

Nice tool, the top wheels that ride the edge… grooves could be deeper allowing more engagement which could help eliminate slipping off. Otherwise great tool, leaves a very clean cut without sharp burr.

Unfortunately some models of brakes do not allow for ''deeper grooves'' as it would interfere with the brake while rolling.
that being said it shouldn't slip off, slip off can happen from the plunger not being engaged before starting the cut.
If you do still not side ''slip off'' while the plunger is engaged please send me a video so that we can sort out what is happening and fix it up!

Don’t like it! It hangs up on the end of the cut. It also rolls the edge down on one side of the cut. Would not recommend this tool!
Thank you for your feedback. I reached out to you personally after seeing this review because what you're describing is not normal operation of the tool and I want to understand exactly what is happening.
During our conversation, you mentioned that the tool does not create the same issue when cutting in the opposite direction. That tells me there is something specific happening that we need to identify, which is why I asked if you could send me a short video showing the issue. Once I can see exactly what the tool is doing, I should be able to determine what's happening and help resolve it.
I also want to remind customers reading this that we include a help sheet with my personal cellphone number with every shipment specifically encouraging customers to contact us if they experience an issue or have questions. I make myself very accessible because I would much rather have the opportunity to troubleshoot a problem than have a customer remain dissatisfied with one of our products.
I take product performance and customer feedback seriously. If something isn't working as intended, I want to know about it and have the opportunity to understand why and make it right.
I'm looking forward to receiving the video so we can determine what's happening and get this resolved.
Worth the price. The side coil holder could be improved slightly, making adjusting it easier, but otherwise a fantastic product.

I was skeptical of the increase in performance beforehand, but after installing the extra 3 powerplates on my 10-6 I was able to bend .032 aluminum and 26ga steel without any trouble. I love it.

What an awesome tool. Been scoring with a knife for years, and it started to take a toll on the shoulder and arm. don't know why I didn't buy one sooner. Cuts beautifully from the left or the right. I love that you don't have to have it at just one end of the break. It cuts so easy just like butter through the aluminum. the company it was so easy to work with and accompanying.
